Sunset Fire

Sunset Fire
Sunset Fire

I was taking my usual evening walk when I spotted a group of these blooming in front of an empty house. As I came closer I noticed that the blooms were being lit by the setting sun.  Actually lit is an understatement, they were on fire with color!  No way was I going to pass up an opportunity to shoot this!  Sometimes life presents beautiful things and you have to take advantage of the moment before it slips away, to me some of the worst words to say are “I wish I had” or “I should have”.  No regrets here, not this evening!  I love this shot.  The bloom is backlit by the setting sun, you can see the veining in the petals, they almost look like flames leaping toward the sky, cool!

There is a lesson here, never let an opportunity pass if your heart says that it’s the right thing to do.  Out of that “impulse” can come something beautiful, live your life without regrets.

Beautiful image! Flowers are my passion, and I am awed by what nature provides to us in the colors, shapes, smells of poseys.

Wow! I am still totally speechless, the picture of the flower is outstanding and the words you wrote are fantastic! “live your life without regrets” is so true and something to remember every minute of every day.

Thank you Terry for enriching my life!

It is another one of those moments when nature is breathtakingly beautiful! Thanks for catching it!
