Sunrise Pride

This is a shot I made during recent trip.  It is early in the morning, not too long after sunrise. The sunlight is shining through the bloom and it glows with gold tones.  Even though the petals are ravaged by bugs, it still has a dignified beauty to it, as it’s only purpose is to be the flower and turn it’s face toward the sun.  We can take a lesson from this flower.  When life’s tragedies come along as they do and take nicks from us, we should stand proud, be the best we can be and turn our face toward the sun.
